By leading with universal principles rather than statistics or suffering, the work positions health care as a fundamental right, not charity. The simple, direct script worked across all three formats and allowed PIH to focus on systemic change rather than just immediate needs.

For an urgent campaign created in response to the US foreign aid freeze in 2025 we had to move fast to address the immediate crisis while staying true to PIH's voice. The script balances the harsh reality of funding cuts with PIH's characteristic determination. Created for multiple formats (30s, 15s (right), 06s) to maximize reach during a critical moment when donors needed to understand both the urgency and their power to help fill the gap.
Cyclone Freddy hit Southern Malawi on March 13, 2023. The storm, reported to be the longest-lasting tropical cyclone ever recorded in the southern hemisphere, has left more than 679 people dead in Malawi, with 2,178 injured, and 659,278 people displaced. As a record-breaking storm battered Malawi and neighboring nations, Partners In Health’s emergency response team is tended to patients with medical assistance and other emergency support.
