National Geographic - Women of Impact
In 2018, National Geographic started a private Facebook group to prove a platform for incredible women who are making a difference in the science and social impact space to be heard, recognized, encouraged, and engaged with.
From arts to exploration to conservation, each week they invited explorers, photographers, and contributors to join the group and interact with the community, share their inspiring stories, highlight how they've broken barriers in their respective fields and give advice to aspiring boundary breakers. The group became a space for the community to get motivated, inspired, share their work, and get feedback and advice from other women working in the same fields as them. In the first two months of the engagement, we grew the group to over thirty thousand members.
